Ali Edwards BASS (Counselling) - Counsellor, Psychotherapist, TAE, Group Facilitator.
The frog symbolises 'transition and transformation' - reminding us of the transient nature of our lives. It represents the cycles of life, particularly the ‘rebirth’ stage. It is the Frog’s own journey through life, from tadpole to the adult state, that can make us think of the many cycles of transformation and rebirth that is possible in our own lives.
Transitional Counselling & Psychotherapy
My therapy practice is situated in Neutral Bay/Cremorne and can be easily accessed from the Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and the City. However, I am also able to travel within the Sydney/North Shore area.
I work with children & adults, families, couples and groups at my practice or I can travel to your organisation. My practice can be easily accessed by most buses and is only a 5 minute walk from the bus stop from either direction.
I offer an initial no fee appointment for potential clients. You may also contact me in the first instance for a confidential chat, with no obligation, if you have questions or need further information regarding my services.

My Approach
I trust that clients know the solutions to their life’s challenges but often need help realizing them. I work with individuals, couples, families’ students and groups. I offer a safe and comfortable space for you to explore whatever difficulties you are experiencing.

I work through a trauma-informed lens and draw eclectically on various modalities. I am constantly developing my skills through professional development to add to my repertoire as well as staying current.
Life can be full of struggles but it is possible to find ways to create a more healthy and meaningful life. Through counselling I can assist you in becoming more aware of yourself and to develop various strategies and resources that will help you.

About me
Hi, Welcome to my site!
I am a fully accredited counsellor with the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
I work with individuals, couples, families, students and groups. In addition to my private practice I work as a part-time teacher & course co-ordinator for TAFE for Youth at Risk, teaching life skills to disengaged teenagers and providing support in their transition to further education and work.

Prior to my career as a counsellor I was a professional dancer and choreographer as well as a successful Wellness & Fitness business owner. I have also worked within the disability sector and as a case manager in youth homelessness. I bring to my work all my facets of knowledge and experience to create the diverse therapist I am today
